Gail Clement is a science information specialist with 20 years' experience in research and academic settings. Ms. Clement currently works on the Everglades Digital Library project at Florida International University, and on information management projects for the United States Geological Survey in south Florida. She also serves as Technical Advisor for "Reclaiming the Everglades", a forthcoming collection of the Library of Congress's American Memory Program. Ms. Clement speaks, writes, and teaches extensively in the areas of science information services and digital library development. Published works include "The Web of Life: Natural Science on the Internet" (In Academic Research on the Internet, Haworth Press, 2000) and "Science and Technology on the Internet: an Instructional Guide" (Library Solutions Press, 1995, 1996). She holds a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oregon and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida.
